Join us for community screenings of the critically acclaimed, award winning, groundbreaking documentary films directed by Daniel Peddle: The Aggressives on December 6th 6:30pm-8:30pm and Beyond the Aggressives December 13th 6:30-8:30pm. 

The Aggressives- An exploration of gender fluidity told through the intimate and raw personal stories of 6 female assigned at birth masculine presenting BiPOC people as they navigate the underground queer ballroom scene in New York City. 

Beyond the Aggressives- Winner of the 2024 GLAAD Media award for best outstanding documentary and a NY Times Film Critic’s Pick in 2024. 

Beyond the Aggressives is a follow up film to The Aggressives featuring 4 of the original cast. This sequel continues to tell the compelling personal stories of the main cast two decades later and also offers reflections on gender identity via the current generation of non-binary, trans, and non-gender conforming people. Both films weave a universal theme - the courage to be oneself.

Filmmaker Jeanny Tsai who worked on The Aggressives as a cinematographer and co-producer and on Beyond The Aggressives as a cinematographer will be in attendance at the screenings. There will be a Q and A after each screening with her.
